How IELTS bands are calculated
IELTS Band Score, The IELTS scores are between 0 to 9 that includes the test components, which are Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

The IELTS scores are between 0 to 9 that includes the test components, which are Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. These components are also contain separate bands and each individual bands are averaged to get the overall band score which are close to the actual band, for example if the average is 8.1 then the overall score is 8 band. Here are the structure of the IELTS score that are calculated according to the number of the questions a person is attempting.
How IELTS bands are calculated
The overall test result are calculated to nearest whole band or nearest 0.5 band score, for example if you scored 7.85 in an IELTS exam then your final result will be 8 because 7.85 is closer to 8 then to 7.5, and if you scored in an average of 7.25 then your final result will be 7 or 7.5.
Reading and Listening Band Scores
The listening and reading scores are calculated by correct answers, there is no negative markings for the incorrected answers. Their are total 40 questions and out of these questions the band scores are calculated.

Writing Band Score
The writing Task 1 and Task 2 are assessed using 4 criteria these are-
- Task Achievement= 25%
- Coherence and Cohesion= 25%
- Vocabulary= 25%
Grammar= 25%

The criterion of speaking test contain 25% of marks of each criteria which include-
- Fluency= 25%
- Lexical Resource= 25%
- Accuracy= 25%
- Pronunciation= 25%
