For Canadian immigration, IELTS General Training scores convert to CLB levels. Note: each skill has a different threshold.

Watch out for Listening. CLB 9 requires IELTS Listening 8.0, higher than the 7.0 needed for Reading, Writing, and Speaking. This asymmetry catches many candidates off guard.
